In light of this, I believe that giving Redemption to the Dravidians would be a good way to balance them out, without making them too strong.
This would give them an effective answer to Mangonels in Castle Age, while still keeping them vulnerable to cavalry raids.
To add to the no-redemption grief, Dravidian Mangonels are not a good investment since they don’t even get Siege Engineers later in Imperial age, so even if you make 2 or 3 to counter enemy Mangonels, they WILL become useless after castle age.
Make your own SO.
Cuz dev were anti-tamil, they hate tamil(x, like they hate indian civ had knight but with available option ,only poor tamil had no knight and no fast counter option ,even with poop stable with no imp upgrade despite chora had decent cav in history, they want dravidian died hard in castle age 11.
Dev should gave them redemption for them at least survive in castle age, or just gave them knight at least.
Saracen other Archer civ that gets redemption.
Xbow and redemption monks vs mangonels is nicee
Man, it’s posts like these that make me realize the Dravidians really suck.
Because they are untouchables
Dravidian sirs do not redeem
Because you won’t have fun dealing with pike-monk-siege from a civ that has cheap pikes, and wood for siege workshop for free.
> However, in the case of the Dravidians, they only get generic Xbows ‘

Where’d you get that information?
They have FU Arbalest.
cos ele archers are op
Cuz they have Bombard Cannons and Siege Onagers, cheap infantry upgrades, and an insane unique unit.
I’m not the one who told you this, but I think some part of it may have to do with the presence of elephant units in their kit.
The whole civ is just poorly designed for no reason and everyone seems to think it’s A-okay.
I guess to more firmly guide them away from being an archer civ?
