It is indeed micro intensive. But what else are you gonna be focusing on as late game Britons
Warwolf trebs are a good option here as a bombard cannon substitute
35 arbalests or like 25 elite longbows one shot (not celt) SO. The moment you have one-shot mass, microing it should be relatively easy with 2 (3 with longbows) range advantage. By the time your opponent gets to 8 SO you should have double this critical mass number of arbalests/longbows
Halbs for meat.
Even 10 will give your archers enough time to weaken most anything.
