While playing a game of Age of Empires 2 with my friend, I am curious to know which faction is most suitable for a 2v2 game in the year 2023.

I believe the meta is to pick a strong calvary and archer civ for 2v2.

please dont say franks and britons …zzz…

just to throw some mad ones out there

persian – turkish, laser everything but protect your trade

closed maps

incas – vietnamese, best trash in the game, yes no hussars but you dont need

water maps

saracens – italians, great archers and ships

to go mad

tatar – japanese

One late game sieger with quality units and a defensive buddy to hold the line usually works

Japanese&Byzantine

Mongols&Koreans

Teutons&Britons

Huns&Turks

Even Spanish&Spanish is a good one.
