If we are talking about balance, we should think about nerfing OP civs like Celts and Sicilians, which are too OP to even be drafted.
As for a “buff”, maybe give franks a unique paladin upgrade with +1 attack and +10 hp. Thematically they should have the best paladins in the game.
Make knights cost -50 gold, wouldn’t touch the food cost that would be too much

Franks already have one of the highest win rates overall. They certainly don’t need a buff.
