That’s a tough one, but maybe cav archers + halbs?
As others have mentioned already, the correct answer is either halb + pala or halb + leitis.
Hindustanis do not have a better army comp than KT civs in mid/late imp, their advantage comes from the camels countering knights cost efficiently during castle age which should allow them to get to imp in a better spot and usually snowball their way to a win.
If that doesn’t happen, they’re likely to die to the mentioned comps, as the damage output from HCs is not enough to kill the halbs before they melt the camels, as well as being a less sustainable army composition since you can always have hussar eventually replacing the pala/leitis, but not the camels.
This is a pretty common approach at the highest level, but it’s definitely harder to play the knight civ as it will likely require a decent amount of turtling.
HCA + Hussars/Halbs.
Yes Halbs melt to HC.
Yes Hussars melt to Camels.
But they are trash units while Camels cost gold.
And if the Camels can’t connect to HCAs, they die pretty quickly due to the low pierce armor.
If you can trade Halbs/Hussars somewhat efficiently against Camels with the supporting fire of HCA, this should be good in the long run.
Ideally leitis halb.
Alternatively paladins halb.
