Problem with Building Construction: Villagers not Starting Work at Construction Site

Hey there, I’m having trouble constructing buildings in my game.
Whenever I select a villager and direct them to construct a building, they just stand in the center of the construction site without doing anything.
I have to constantly click on the building for them to start working.
Can anybody provide some assistance?
A lot of newer players tend to left click to place foundation and immediately right-click on it to send a villager there.
Well there is a slight delay in the foundation being placed so that quick right click can result in the villager actually getting tasked off the building and instead just go and stand in the middle of the foundation

Have had that happen, forget what the fix is
