I’m not sure what button to press to connect with him on the Xbox, because the “Ally” option on the Start Menu isn’t working, and searching online didn’t help.
AFAIK, you have to reach his base, either by land or water, for him and his Berserks to become yours.
But this is after the Battle of Stamford Bridge has happened, which I’m not sure if it is triggered by time limit or you building/researching something.
