Monks Removed from Office

When I am utilizing monks in a group, I frequently find myself selecting all of my monks, clicking on a target, pressing CTRL+clicking on a monk, then clicking on another target, and repeating this process until I have Theocracy so I can shift-click targets instead.
Is there a more efficient way to manage my monks other than the Survivalist approach (which does not work if I am using dedicated builders)?
Not that I’m aware of unless you’re putting each monk on its own control group
