Would they make considerable use of HC?
1 of the following: Halb, Champion, Heavy Camel, or Thumb Ring.
Or maybe some blacksmith tech.
If the Chinese get hand cannons for historical purposes, should the Mayans, Incas, and Aztecs lose anything with a wheel? (i.e.
wheel barrow, hand cart, trebuchet, onager line, scorpion line, and ram line)
They should get *nerf* guns because that’s where they’re made
Historically they invented gunpowder but they didn’t used for military purposes untill near modern era.
They just made fireworks with gunpowder.
Arbalester upgrade.
Lose Halberdier
Having cheaper techs and a full blacksmith is the whole point of the chinese and it represents their advancements in learning
remove heavy cavarch n siegeram n add handcannon n bombard cannon
Remove rocketry (+4 attack) from their scorpions since they now have HCs for the anti-infantry role.
Good bye plate armor and plate barding.
Remove the extra vils and nerf the farm bonus to a 5%
Another historical justice warrior.
Chinese CAN’T get a HC simply because the Chu-Ko-Nu is actually a HC that’s cheaper and affected by Ballistics.
Practically that’s the case.
Please stop seeking justice and accuracies in a game.
What’s next?
Removing Mayan’s access to Trebs?
I might be lacking high elo perspective here, but Chinese already have the Chu Ko Nu, which is arguably better in most cases (firing faster, better accuracy), so why would they ever use the HC?
Food vs wood cost?
Easier to mass?
everyone always brings up how ahistoric it is that the inventor of gunpowder doesn’t get handcannons or bombard cannons.
in reality in the late middle ages they really were not at the forefront of those developments at all.
