If you deleted an unfinished foundation, however, you get part of the resources back.
I imagine it could be a funny civ/team bonus.
Like migrating lumbercamps or something
In Rise of Nations you would get a small bonus from deleting buildings (but you also gained a small bonus from building them e.g. 30 wealth from building a market) but in AOE2 the eco is very different.
You only get res from deleting a foundation, and the closer the foundation is to finished, the less you get.
So if you place a castle foundation then delete it, I think you get all your res back or is it 75% ??
If it is built upto 99% and you delete it you barely get anything back
