Fix Insert Age of Empires 2 CD to Play Campaigns & Single Player

Can’t play Campaigns or Single Player of Age of Empires II? I made two separate tools to deal with both issues.

Fix “Insert your Age of Empires II CD” for Campaigns

When you try to play the campaigns of Age of Kings or The Conquerors, you are faced with two errors or one of them:

• “Insert your Age of Empires II: Conquerors Expansion CD, and then try again.”
• “Insert your Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings CD, and then try again.”

To fix that I made a tool that adds the missing files into your game with one click of a button. Go download it from here > AoE2 Campaign Fix

Step 1: Extract the tool anywhere you wish.

Step 2: Run “AoE2 Campaign Fix.exe” (It automatically runs as administrator because if your game is installed in “Program Files” folder it requires administration privileges to make changes)

Step 3: Make sure the Game Path field points to correct location of Age of Empires 2 (Feel free to manually paste your game path into the field)

Step 4: click “Download and Apply Fix Now!”

Done!

Now you should be able to access your Age of Kings / Conquerors Campaigns

Fix “Insert the Age of Empires II CD ” to Play Single-Player

If you are getting this error “You must insert the Age of Empires II: Conquerors Expansion CD to play single-player, and then restart.”, It means that your game installation is missing a files. To fix that I have already made an article and a video that fix this particular issue by using a tool AoE2 Graphics fix that repairs your game installation so you can play single player without cd.
