DERM Tool update for August 2025

I took sometime today to update DERM Tool. We were 9 months behind and many patches from the list, now all of them have been added.
Notice that at the end of each patch there is a number e.g.
12 August 2025 (153015) (33)
The number ‘33‘ is the count of depots for the 12 August 2025 patch.
Why is that important?
Say for example you want to downgrade to “30 January 2025 (133431)“? DON’T YET! Notice the depot count, it’s just ‘1‘
So you should look for a previous patch with high depot count for example ‘15 October 2024‘ has ‘29‘ depots.
First downgrade to ‘15 October 2024‘ , then dowgrade to ‘30 january 2025‘ that way you increase the chances for the replays not cut after a few minutes.
Why do old replays of Age of Empires 2 Definitive stop after a few minutes even after the game is downgraded?
That often happens if the patch you are downgrading to has a low depot count – 1 to 4 depots.
Why is that?
When the Age of Empires team release a new patch, it is served as depots and there are two types of depots. a depot that updates the game files, and a depot that add new files to the game.
So the fact that you are downgrading to a patch with a small count of depots means that the game is highly likely missing previous depot updates and additions. Therefore, the best course of action is to downgrade to an older patch than the one you need, plus make sure it has a high count of depots – That’s the crucial part.
I already explained this earlier, scroll back if that didn’t click yet.
Now, about replays that used custom data mods (like the Red Bull Wololo mod).
You’ll need to have that exact mod installed.
No mod = replay won’t load properly.
