Ubuntu 22.04 user here.

I’m trying to sign-in to Xbox (to keep rewards).

I created an account, gave permission to the game, but when log in through the game, the pop-up screen remains blank.

Older posts from a few years back suggest it was not possible (see below).

Still is not possible?

Probably not, for the same reason we can’t use CaptureAge.
