    Hello community,

Can anyone tell me which non-siege unit has the strongest regular (no bonus damage) attack with the most effective damage dealt to opponents per one attack?

I believe it is the Elite Leitis of the Lithuanian, as they can have a base attack of 16, plus an additional 6 attack from relics and blacksmith upgrades, and they ignore opponent armor.

Other units that deal less damage include Persian elite war elephants, which have a base attack of 20+4 but do not ignore opponent armor, and Frankish paladins, which have a base attack of 14+4=18, compared to Lithuanian paladins with 4 relics who have an attack of 14+4+2=20.

Monks technically deals 378 damage against heresy celts siege ram or ~3100 against byzantine bombard tower

I think the coustellier or urumi swordsman have a stronger attack when charged up, but after that I think the FU Elite-Leitis has the strongest effective attack, yes.

Halbedeers do like 60 bonus dmg against elephants though, but I am not sure if that’s what you were looking for

The heavy demo, if you allow ships in your ranking.

If not, the flaming camel is still a good contender (assuming you don’t consider it to be siege) with 20 attack and AoE blast damage.

Petard does more, but I would consider that to be siege.

    Dravidians UU.

They ignore armor and have a charge attack and also do some splash damage.

    Do coustillier or flappysword count?

Elite Cannon Galleon is technically not a siege unit and has 45 base damage, but it’s probably not what you’re looking for.

Otherwise, yeah Leitis it is for consistant damage against anything with more than 2 armor, otherwise it’s the elite War Elephant.

If you count bonus damage Bohemian Halbs vs elephants probably deal the most damage per attack.

If you count charged attacks Coustillier takes it (yeah it doesn’t ignore armor like Urumi but I think the much higher damage still makes it stronger, depending on what you’re hitting).

Do you want to count trample damage?

Persian War Elephants deal +50% of their attack damage to all adjacent units as trample damage.

Plus you haven’t specified that the opponent’s units need to be fully upgraded.

So, might as well just say that the opponent doesn’t have armour and ignore the ignoring unit armour part!

Would Aztec Champions with the 17+8 still be less since they also don’t ignore armor?

Admiral Yi Sun Shin, I believe he doesn’t count as siege

Okay but why are you excluding bonus damage and include the bonus of leitis to ignore melee armor?

Also: When the Leitis and a war elephant attack a unit/building with 0 or 1 pierce armor, the war elephant deals more damage.

So the answer is: It depends 😉

Think Elite Janissaries deserve a mention with their 22 attack.

No bonuses, no unique upgrades and no gimmicks, just flat out high damage.

How about the ghulam, against a bunch of units stacked on one tile?

Or the chakram thower hitting a bunch of clumped units?

If you are thinking of including trample damage, then pass-through damage also deserves to be counted.
