Tweaks for Civilization

    Sicilians should have their old bonus damage buff returned, but it should only apply to sieges not affected by other siege weapons.

    The First Crusade should no longer spawn free sergeants but instead allow all infantry to be trained from donjons.

    The Hauberk should be changed to upgrade infantry to take no bonus damage and no longer affect cavalier.

    These changes will make them a more interesting donjon/infantry civilization, highlighting their core focus on infantry and giving them a unique final unit composition.

    Koreans and Poles should swap their stone mining buffs.

    Slavs should have their farming bonus increased to 12%.

    Additionally, non-unit-upgrade barracks technologies can be researched an age early (e.g., free supplies in Dark Age) and Druzhina should be made cheaper.

    Persians should have the Central Asian building style incorporated into their civilization.

    Furthermore, adding Mahouts to the Elite upgrade and giving them a unique technology providing cav archers with +3 range could give Persians a good enough reason to use cav archers.

    That way, they will have full FU range but lower attack due to no bracer, which is unique and interesting.

    50% shine only when u spam knights, infantry with 100% is worth to upgrade only against jags and cataphracts.

    Infantry from donjouns is simply a weak tech. 100% agree since it hidden nerf sicilians post

    Seriously 50% less bonus damage is definitely a REAALLLY strong bonus, and making infantry take no bonus damage?

    I like the idea of giving persians viable ca, but +3 range is huge.

    thats 9 range, more than most of their counter units have.

    that together with a solid boom and a full stable is too much imo.

    mahout into elite upgrade and some parthian heritage tech for ca sounds good, but maybe 5% speed and 1 range is something more unique.

    Sorry to say this, but a number of awful ideas.

    Sicilians, bonus damage really only happens from siege to siege.

    Yes vills vs rams, yes some units like Magyar hussars, but really if it is to affect siege then have it work on mangos vs mangos.

    Yes it’s very strong, so what the civ sucks otherwise and is boring.

    This solves 2 problems.

    New Hauberk is useless, hand cannons will still wreck infantry (not by as much but well enough that infantry still suck) and arbs will still wreck infantry.

    Let it go, infantry suck as core units, the only way these guys can be useful is repairing the tanky ass mangos.

    Ain’t nobody going to make donjons as barracks, bruh they are more expensive barracks cos stone is harder to get than wood.

    Koreans: Their one identity is war wagons + towers.

    You want to take the stone away?

    I get that the Poles bonus might be stronger, but I’m not convinced.

    I’m not sure this is a bad idea though, but you haven’t convinced me why it’s good.

    Slavs: Do you remember endless drushes from Goths?

    Now you are doing that, except with a farm bonus too?

    I’d really rather not see that.

    Arbs?

    Nope, outranged.

    Eskirms?

    They only take 2 damage, maybe if you remove the HCA upgrade then eskirms can do the job, but then they have really good cav.

    Siege won’t work cos they get BBC.

    Absolutely not.

    Mahouts into the elite upgrade is fine by me, I’d put it into the base unit tbh.

    Koreans getting the stone mining buff is a bad idea.

    Not only do they need less wood eco for their archers, but they gst free armor.

    Couple this with free tower upgrades and you have a nasty combination

    I agree with the architecture swap for the Persians, and *maybe* the farming boost for Slavs.
