Hey everyone,

I wanted to share with you that I finally reached a 2k Elo rating in Age of Empires 2.

I first played the game when I was six years old, but only got into it again many years later with the HD edition on Steam.

I mostly played team games, diplomacy games, and scenarios, but didn’t play many 1v1s.

However, I started watching YouTube videos from Spirit of the Law and T90, which got me hooked on the game.

When the DE edition came out, I played a lot of team games with my friends and tried some ranked matches.

I ended up with an Elo of 1400-1500, but wasn’t playing many 1v1s at the time.

I occasionally played 1v1s and even participated in tournaments like Hera’s Colosseum, but I wasn’t very experienced in playing Arabia.

Eventually, I pushed myself to play more 1v1s and reached 1900 Elo, but then kept getting stomped by 2k+ players.

I tried to improve my APM and strategy, and finally managed to beat some 2k+ players and reach a 2k Elo rating.

My goal was to reach 2k before Hera finished his new road to 2k series.

Now that I’ve reached my goal, I don’t plan on playing many 1v1s for a while, as I want to enjoy my 2000 Elo standing and focus on playing with my friends in team games.

Now, if I could ditch the kids somehow, I would try to do the same.

I also play way more teamgame but shifted back to 1v1 to work on my fundamentals.

It helps a great deal.

You’re probably not too far from matching with some lower tier pros.
