The Absence of Nexus Wars – What’s Going On?

I am unsure if the absence of my favorite game mode in AOE is due to my inability to find it or if the game itself has limitations compared to Starcraft.
Nonetheless, it is something I miss about Starcraft and could be very enjoyable in AOE2.
However, I lack the expertise to create it using the editor.
Perhaps someone else here could assist in its creation.
Whats nexus wars?
Tried googling and it just game me strategy without explaining what the mode is.

Age of Mythology had Norse Wars.
I don’t know if they made an AoE2 version though
