Currently, I am experiencing a significant string of defeats.

I find myself to have no difficulty playing unranked 2v2 or team games, as well as 1v1 matches.

However, when it comes to playing ranked matches, I am consistently being beaten with ease.

Do you have any advice for someone who is new to playing ranked matches?

    just keep playing.

Eventually you’ll hit a point where you win 50% of your games.

    Never stop producing vills.

Make it a habit to check your tcs and have a select all tcs hotkey.

You can make it to 1000 ELO with little game sense/knowledge if you can master production.

Im usually late to react to others strategies.

I can have 3k wood floating and only until I see a massive ball of arbalests I will start building archery ranges, which is already too late.

Build couple of buildings for all type of units so you can react on time and not get Insta gg

I think in order to improve with literally anything, you need to learn what your weaknesses are and what it is that is holding you back.

Watch your recorded matches, try to learn what better players are doing (sometimes, watching other high level matches helps here), and then try to incorporate those elements into your gameplay.

Without knowing what you’re doing wrong, it’s hard for anyone to really offer useful advice in that much of a general sense.

Hard to see without being able to see your game play, buiuut.

    Spend wood.

Just choose a number and try not to let your wood go above that in feudal age.

You’re 900 elo, so try not to have more than 300 wood floating in feudal.

You will struggle at first, but then you’ll find you’ll either A) get your ranged deathball massing quicker, b) farms down quicker so your food comes in quicker, or C) a combination of the above.

On top of that, try to minimise tc idle time, and military/ production idle time.

As always, it would be nice if you could post a rec of your game for others to look at with this kind of thing
