Suggestion for Slavs: Free Infantry Armor Enhancements

    Currently, Slavs are quite mediocre since their farming bonus was reduced, and they have a clear disadvantage against civilizations with strong cavalry.

    They don’t appear to be a good infantry civilization until Imperial Age, because the free Supplies they get is not enough to give them a proper advantage.

    To help their infantry, I suggest they should get armor upgrades without having to pay for them.

    This is similar to what the Koreans do with their archer armor upgrades, but it would not make the Slavs too powerful in the mid-game.

    I would love to see more blacksmith bonuses.

    I feel there is a lot of potential there for the currently mediocre civs.

    Slavs and Incas are my biggest targets.

    Its kinda meh tbh, slavs are in an ok space though they do feel kinda bland everything is generic with them, its just they have a strong eco presence to bolster them in all they do.

    Honestly if they had some anti ca unit it would be a all rounded civ but its a weakness that is manageable.

    My biggest worry is this would make them further blend with Bulgarians.

    Right now both already have many similarities, such as infantry and cavalry focus, siege discount, horrible archer, and cheap stone structures.

    Adding blacksmith bonus into the mix would make them even more indistinguishable

    I would instead like to see them get all the auxillary Barracks techs for free, mirroring the Tatars.

    So Supplies, Arson & Squires for free

    I like it, not too OP, good for a quick infantry spam build like siege ram champ rush on arena

    Hard disagree here.

    Slav halbs with Dhruzina are some of the best in the game, Boyars are much easier to mass with the new Castle tech and trade fantastically with Paladin, and even nerfed their farm eco is incredibly solid.

    That said I do agree with the concept, but am worried that if implemented it would have the Malian halberdier effect of getting the civ over nerfed in the future.

    It would make their cheap capped ram+Halb push super strong to auto have +3 shortly into imperial.

    castle and imp armor free shouldnt be a problem.

    But i think feudal armor free will be a problem, as armor on m@a makes them much harder to fight with villagers, as they go from taking 15 hits to 23 hits.

    This will basically force players to react with small walls, instead of having the option to fight them off.
