He arrived early with two militia and began attacking the villagers, destroying their homes, and interfering with my boar collection.
I attempted to defend myself with my villagers, but they evaded me and returned later.
This put me behind in my feudal time, and despite quickly building a military, they were already in the castle age at the 17-minute mark.
How can I gain an advantage against such an early attack?
Is it not possible for them to have such a significant advantage at just four minutes into the game?
Something that you can also pay attention to specifically for an instant drush is score difference, your opponent will have around 200 more score than you in the first few minutes which isn’t possible unless they’re producing military.
If you know your opponent is Lithuanians and you see that the score is shooting up that fast, just take care to make sure you have all your sheep and can queue loom if you need to.
The instant drush is a huge hit to the lith players eco efficiency, so even if you take a small amount of damage like losing houses or walling in a woodline you will still be in a decent spot.
The most important thing is to not panic, because your opponent has set themselves up to be in a spot where they NEED to do damage, because if they don’t they’ll just be behind
I just faced this.
The main problem for me is building the second building for going up to feudal cause the vills cant both fight and build a mining camp.
Vills can fight off two militia easily.
i think next time I will just go up 2 pop later and send two extra vills so one can build and 3 can fight.
Good news is it will be impossible in the next patch 11

He cant be everywhere at once.
Just get loom early.
If he is breaking houses he has spent a boatload of resources instantly to remove ~35 res?
Its not much of a benefit to him.
You deal with it as you do a normal drush, small walls and paying attention + minimizing any deveation it forces in your dark age build.
Wait few more weeks and you won’t see it anymore.
