Shaking My Head: Matchmaking Ban Due to Game Crashes.

In the last 48 hours, my game has crashed four times when loading a ranked 1v1 game.

Although it’s a bit frustrating, the game reloads quickly, so it’s not too bad.

However, the infuriating part is that I received a 30-minute matchmaking ban.

It doesn’t make sense since the game acknowledged the crash and asked me to write a report.

Why punish me for something out of my control?

I’ve stopped playing cause I’ll get a few crashes in a row and it locks me out for rest of my free time so I go play something else.

Sucks but what can ya do

Yeah the game probably is in the worst conditions since launch atm.

I personally didn’t experience a single crash in recent times but a large part of the community does and they get banned for it every single time.

I don’t understood why this dumb ban system is still active.

I mean people still dodge map anyways.

They happily wait 1 or 2 min after couple of bans and from there on they just let the game start and delete all their stuff.

And looking at another horrible map pool after last one probably was worst one in aoe history I can’t blame them because 3 bans simply aren’t enough these days.

I sincerely hope that ostensibly huge next update will bring a change to matchmaking (the crashing issue hopefully is resolved way before).

Yeah, banning system is horribly implemented, I’ve reached a 20h ban once because of crashing issues and leaving matches when a partner disconnects before minute 5.

As far as I know the devs know it already and we expect a fix soon.

Fixing crashes is the most obvious thing but reconsidering how the bans are executed is just as important in my opinion.

I’d rather not have bans at all since people dodging maps is insignificant compared to how this system can potentially make the game unplayable to any random user for different causes.

This (horrible) system was put in place to “punish” queue dodgers who didn’t want to play certain maps (or maybe with certain people).

The end result has been people just getting banned and going to spend time doing something entertaining instead of playing something they don’t want to.
