I used to spend hours playing Age of Empires II on my old computer when I was a kid, and I’m looking forward to playing again this afternoon.
I’m wondering if the Xbox version is the same as the PC version, and if it offers access to all the civilizations.
Sometimes games on consoles have limited content due to technical restrictions.
Who is your favorite civilization these days?
I remember playing the Byzantine Empire, Vikings, and Korea (with the Turtle Ship) as a kid, since I liked their units and tech.
Do you have any recommendations for fun civilizations to get used to the game as I play my first few rounds on the Xbox?
Funny aside the first two people that commented were a Vikings and Byz player which I always played as a kid so I feel like one of those two should be my start lmao
There are at the moment 42 civs with all DLCs, so go nuts trying them all out.
It’s the exact same game.
Just have fun!
Most civs play fundamentally the same, but have different unique units and bonuses.
Experiment with different civs!
looks like the same game.
The only feature that is missing on consoles is Map Editor.
Otherwise all the normal modes are there.
There is also a new co-op campaign mode.
