I started playing ranked matches on aoe2 again and unfortunately played against the same person twice.

I had a significant advantage with over 600 points above him, but my opponent desynchronized in both games.

It’s frustrating, and I’ve reported the player.

Back in the early 2000s, it wasn’t this bad.

there was a time when more players abused desyncs to dodge losses (it werent that many to begin with) and the devs managed to patch most ways.

But i guess there is always just another bug to be found.

But dont worry, that guy will inflate his elo by winning against players with bad days, so he ends up against much better players.

This will be very frustrating for him when he always loses and has to desync.

So dont worry, the elo you didnt get is well invested.
