Back in the days I thought Heated Shot was the ability that made my siege be able to remove trees. I never really figured out what made me be able to remove trees if I remember correctly, but I was always happy when it suddenly worked.
Heated shot still confusing me. Like they need to change picture and name too. 🙄

At first I think it gave some kind of gold bonus to mining

Ballistics and Chemistry are useful techs though
