I want to express my appreciation to Nili and all the participants in NAC4 for putting on an amazing Age of Empires tournament.
Even though I haven’t always agreed with Nili’s style of commentary, I want to thank him for organizing such an incredible event.
I watched it from start to finish and loved every moment, particularly these five things:
1) The high-level of play among the top 10 AOE players in the world was thrilling to watch.
2) The camaraderie and fun atmosphere among the players, especially during the “Apartment” segments, was heartwarming.
3) The production and casting were impressive, especially the instant memes and the outstanding job done by all four casters.
4) I respect Nili’s decision to donate 100% of the donations to the players, and for hosting the event purely for the love of AOE.
5) Finally, kudos to Hera, Liereyy, and Viper for their exceptional performance and dedication to the game.
6.
Villese showing up
7.
Flemish revolution probably getting removed.
This tournament was reason enough to wipe it out of existance
8.
best wishes to Viper for a full recovery
One more thing.
The community event.
It was fantastic
The only bad thing about NAC4 is that I’m going to struggle to get as hyped for the upcoming KOTD5!
Going from a LAN with such diverse map pool with interesting strategies to an online Arabia-only is gonna be tough.
Agree with all of this.
I loved the balance of the “apartment” feel, with the IMO pretty outstanding production.
The balance between professionalism and people just messing about was just perfect.
Easily my favorite AOE tourney since it started.
Love Nili and love the guys, gives a real nostalgic feel to hanging out with friends and playing games, something us older guys dont have much time for these days.
Villese showed up hard, easily top 5 now
