Greetings to everyone in the community!

I recently got back into playing a game that I haven’t played in about 15 years since it was released on Xbox.

It has become an obsession of mine, and I spend my time playing, watching streamers at night, and scrolling through Reddit during work breaks.

However, because it’s been so long, I have a fuzzy memory of the game.

I remember a particular campaign map where you start with only one monk, and you have to build your resources and army by converting villagers.

There was also water combat involved, with rivers and a lake.

Unfortunately, I can’t recall anything else, and my search in-game and online has turned up nothing.

I am unsure if this campaign is available in-game, or if I am simply imagining it.

Does anyone in the community have any information or knowledge about this?

That sounds more like Age of Empires 1.

    The Babylonian campaign.

This is the first scenario from the AoE Babylonian campaign! (I think it’s called “holy man”?) One of my favorites – but AoE 1, not 2.

I know you found the real one already, but if you want a similar idea in aoe2 – In one of the Aztecs campaigns you start with a small army, and at some point acquire monks which are used to convert enemy villagers so that you can start building an economy.

I think its the 4th Montezuma campaign.

could be wrong on the number.

You said it was aoe 1 but If you want a similar experience in aoe2 Ivaylo is actually quite similar to this as well.
