During the Gajah Mada campaign #1, I decided to betray the mongols in order to cause substantial harm to them prior to their return with their powerful horse army.
Although it took them about two minutes to switch to being my enemy, I went ahead and destroyed their town center, two castles, several buildings, villagers, and military units.
The mongols were furious, yelling “How dare you betray us!” which was unexpected as I had become accustomed to the AI quickly recognizing me as an enemy.
