Does the process of building castles reach a natural conclusion at a specific duration?

This individual progressed to the castle age ahead of me, and attempted to construct a castle in my territory by sending a group of non-combatants.

I eliminated all of the non-combatants, but the castle was almost completed, so I began attacking it.

Despite being damaged, the castle abruptly finished construction with roughly half of its health remaining.

This occurred during my Xbox gaming session while the other player was using the Teutons.

health doesn’t indicate completion percentage, just the building’s remaining hitpoints (which could be at half because of damage you inflicted).

i’m guessing the castle was somewhere near 100% and he sent some sneaky villager to complete it.

if that’s not the case, maybe they finally implemented daut castling as passive feature

    Where there’s smoke there’s fire.

    Castles cannot build themselves
