Disabling Automatic Farm Construction

Is anyone having difficulty disabling the auto farm option in the game?
Even when the circle is illuminated in green, it appears to be still activated.
I’m trying to resolve this issue as the villagers are continuously producing farms while there are still enough hunts, boars, and fish to sustain my early game.
Theirs two different settings, the one in game with the green circle is to re seed existing farms, to stop vills auto placing farms you gotta turn it off in the settings under “Automatic farm placement”
