Cost reduction is needed for siege towers.

    I want to see them used for more than just humorous purposes.

    Their effectiveness is hindered by their high cost of 200 wood and 160 gold.

    While I don’t believe the price should be significantly reduced, it’s difficult to afford them until the later stages of the game when your opponent has already prepared a counterstrategy.

    Would you adjust their cost?

    Make them cheap and low hp, so the enemy has to sortie to destroy them or use a magonel

    I wouldn’t mind seeing siege towers only costing 125 wood.

    Siege is powerfull, siege towers are a huge niche and too expensive especially if they don’t work out.

    Reduce the costs by half and make both of its armor 200+.

    I agree and while we are at it make rams a little bit more resistant to mangonel shots so a castle + mangonel behind it, isn’t completely undestroyable in castle age.

    I feel this is the major problem with rams (in castle age) right now.

    I believe that siege towers need a rework by either allowing garrisoned units to fire inside it or adding an ability that enforce the opening of the gate.

    Reducing its training cost cannot change its uselessness.

    I saw a video of Survivalist using siege towers not to cross walls, but to drop byzantine infantry on Mayan crossbows + arbalests.

    It was absorbing arrow shots and the mayans dont’ have cavalry to kill it.

    This seems like a better use for them than crossing walls, but I don’t really know.
