Bringing in Age of Kings/Age of Conquerors Saved Games

Recently, I have become intrigued in playing Age of Empires 2 and I would like to go back to some of my old saved games.
These are documents with .gam and .gax extensions.
Is there a method to convert them to formats that are compatible with HD or DE and be able to play them?
You cant even watch replay from older versions of DE, so no.
This saves only compatible with original game
