I am using a mouse with side buttons that I have programmed to work as hotkeys on my PC, and it has been working perfectly.

However, I recently downloaded Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition on Xbox and found that these same buttons do not work.

I am unsure whether this is due to compatibility issues with my mouse or just the console version of the game not supporting these buttons.

I would like to buy a mouse with additional buttons, but I am hesitant to invest in something that may not work with my console.

Can anyone provide insight into this issue?

I have not been able to use mine on my razor mouse either.

I was hoping to bind shift and control to the side buttons but haven’t found a way to do it yet.
