Xbox Double Y Difficulty

Hi there.
I have a question.
I was using a shortcut with the Y button to switch the villager to wall construction mode by double-clicking.
This worked for a while, but then it suddenly stopped working and double tapping now brings up house placement instead.
What could I have done wrong and how can I get the wall construction mode back when double-clicking Y?

Hold Y and you can Switch for that shortcut, walls Houses or fields, Ur are Welcome
