Why Do Some Nomadic Treelines Have Hills?

I have experienced this more than once: I locate a good place to turn around, but there’s a hill blocking me, so I have to look for a different spot, which delays me.
because that’s the whole point on nomad?
some woodlines are not suitable, some are far from gold and some boars will be far/behind trees/next to an enemy
