Which civilization is considered the least remarkable, and what makes the Slavs stand out as such?
They have one of the best team boni in DM though
Slavs can be fun.
Persians (despite trashbows) and incas are pretty boring.
Bro I literally came when I found out there was a highly armored Knight unit with an axe
Because they don’t have as much brand power
Slavs is a very generic name
As compared to other generic civs that are more recognizable
Some other weaker names include tatars and magyars but those seem to be a little more unique gameplay wise so it cancels out
Vikings is worse
I dunno about you but after how the Ukrainians have been fighting this war with Russia, I think Slavs (aka Ukrainians) need a boost =P
Are there any other old time aoe2 players who are constantly triggered when this content about civs that don’t exist hits their reddit feed?
Or is just me, the lonely old man grumpy gamer who refuses to acknowledge the new edition exists?
Slavs?
SLAVS?
No such thing!
I love slavs.
Castles, druzina, boyar, siege.
They just need a little buff on farming rate.
Boyars are especially vulnerable to monks
if Slavs are the “most unremarkable civ” then that says a lot for how each civ manages to feel distinct and exciting while all being very simple from a design standpoint.
Slavs might not have exciting bonuses but they’re solid and not hard to utilize to their fullest potential
I wish Slavs had Steppe Lancers, maybe Druzchina ESL in Imp.
Please
Apart from SO + Champion/Halbs or Boyars as Slavs, another underrated thing is their really cheap castle cost after Detinets.
It really helps in pumping out more castles either defensively or offensively like a castle drop
Fucking what are you talking about m8 lmao
Prob my best civ.
Around 70% W/L.
Siege push with AOE halbs is good in late.
Also their farms are good.
And you can spam castles.
Boyars are teutonic knights on horse.
They are a cool civ imo.
