It appears that the developers of Age of Empires II had intentions to give Wolves additional abilities.
A poll was created to get feedback on this idea.
when was hp regene a thing for wolves?
I see what you doing Mr.
Magyar main.
They should be 100% like in AoE1, aligators slower than lions, both should have food on them
For wolves to slowly spawn in fog of war.
the first 3
I’m pretty sure on my version of CD conquerors the wolves would actively seek out vills on gold rush
A wolf horde wave mode would be cool
I really don’t like any of these.
I don’t even think wolves are a good thing to have in the game, tbh.
None of the above.
None
All of the above
In Age of Empires I, wild predators *do* attack other wildlife.
This feature was removed in Age of Empires II.
Absolutely none of these.
I appreciate the idea of making the environment an enemy.
Northgard is what we would get if that was a main feature.
-Changing seasons, winter reduces gather rate and increases consumption
-Gaia units like wolves/bears that you must kill in order to claim territory (very limited # of buildings per tile)
-Periodic wolf attacks on every player
-Giant (literally) neutral factions that can act like allies or trade partners
-And if I recall correctly, something something Hel gates, capture the hill victory condition, waves of Gaia units get thrown at you
Which is a VERY different game from Aoe2.
It’s a lot slower paced and more like an eco simulator that happens to involve some combat.
I think boar luring is a pretty cool thing that is very unique to Aoe2.
And doing a wolf rush on the map gold rush will never not be funny.
Let’s keep it there.
None, gaia add unnecessary rng to the game.
