The upcoming update looks like it could be really exciting, with the potential to shake up the meta.
It will be interesting to see how the Franks will fare in the new patch, and what other changes the developers have in store for us.
Just give to me the Phoenicians, Assyrians, Hittites and Sumerians.
I don’t know, but I’m excited!
Shake that meta up, I’m so tired of hearing all these absolutes when strategy is discussed.
I wouldn’t consider it big, not even a patch if it doesn’t come with a nerf to sicilians

The game is in a pretty decent spot at the moment and I’m worried they’re going to make a slew of bad changes.
Lobby system and water rework
I wish one elephant with realistic switchable/automatic attack modes: distance attack, melee attack, ram attack.
Saracen buff.
Team bonus: Foot archers do +1 extra damage vs standard buildings.
The blood on La Hire’s sword is 1% drier; no other changes
Fix the custom color mods not working since September.

* Deer on the minimap gaining a unique color.

I see many ways this could go.

Rome!
Nerf the Franks
What I hope:
Water mechanics reworks
Changes to boring or weak unique techs or civs bonuses (villagers damage to wolves ftw)
What I fear:
Simplified/automatized game mechanics (cause consol/newies)
Bugs
triple siege tower speed
give monks gunpowder weapons
Wood camps can train trash units in imperial age
Vils can run trough forests in imperial age
double knight lline armor
double infantry line armor
double archer line speed
give skirmisher a stronger melee attack
Castles can make siege unit in imperial age
every 50 houses it gives a speed bonus to all troops reaching a maximum of 500 houses, regardles of popcap
each town center provides an attack bonus to vils.
It’s small but it has no limit.
