Anonymous PlayerMemberI understand the appeal of giving my own ideas, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that most of the suggestions are not well-received. People keep bringing up the same units and asking for the same civs to be nerfed. To avoid any more conflict or boredom, I believe it would be best to just not allow any suggestion posts. An alternative solution could be to create a sub just for suggestions and concepts.

UmdeuterGuestReally don’t know what’s the problem with suggestions. It’s fun to discuss them and bad ones are just downvoted anyway.
Also think that the quality of these massively increased over the last years.

Apprehensive_Alps_30GuestYes please ban the suggestions, they are ridiculous almost every single time. I also have no idea why people make them. Seems like a role-playing of some sort..

Exe0nGuestHow about a suggestion/buffnerf/rework megathread?
There have been some posts that were actually really good and well thought out, but that’s about 1 in 100

LordWilliamBlakeneyGuestI agree all suggestions should be banned.
Also, whilst I’m here, militia line need a buff.

Severe_State8300GuestI love suggestions. And while I’m here, can we get a Teutonic Hurskal?!
February 27, 2023 at 2:16 am #16016
RovseaGuestIs that a suggestion?

burlapturtleneckGuestSince it is a popular topic that gets some engagement it might make sense to make it a regular thread like medieval mondays. Other pros and cons but people get a chance to share their ideas without the feed being full of repeat content. It might also allow people to see that their suggestion on buffing the militia line has already been had if they are stored in one place

Azot-SpikeGuestThis suggestion is just bad.
I have made lots of suggestions that have evolved with time, from when I had little knowledge of the mechanics (even if I’ve been playing since 2000) and competitive scene to today, when I can even figure out how devs approach buffs and nerfs (although they still surprise me, like with the latest buff to Portuguese). I really feel my suggestions are better now. A simple thing like proposing +1 pierce armor for Villagers (it’s an example) kills Archer and Tower rushes against that civ. I proposed that on an old civ design, but now I know that I can’t propose that.
For new players, learning the game, strats can be as important as to feel themselves part of the community. And reddit is indeed a great way to share all your thoughts and suggestions and receive feedback about your them. I don’t want to cut them off just because they propose Britons to get Thumb Ring. Maybe the next Liereyy or Hera is now suggesting something like that, and becomes discouraged because the community was unkind to them. Don’t upvote (downvote if you want), and ignore the thread itself, or explain kindly why the suggestion cannot be implemented. If I had followed a thread like this, I would never have earned more than 20k Karma here, collaborated on map scripting contests, become a part of Nelson’s (MaSmOrRa) quiz shows and even talked to pro players and casters.

medievalrevivalGuestI’m all for banning the buff/nerf civ threads.
Most are wildly bad suggestions anyways.
