To make this mission easy, remember a few things:

1.

Protect one dock in your initial base to trade with Indian traders.
2.

Use the land route to build a set of docks to attack the Bandits’ ships from behind.
3.

The land route is better as it provides a free base outside the city, which is close to the bandit spawning camps.
4.

Focus on killing the Sunda Royal Fighters only as they are located in few spots in the city – mostly concentrated in the central castle area, and others are not important.
5.

Use Castle Drop to your advantage.
6.

Use your starting Onagers for attack ground, as they are very useful.

This is for those who find the mission difficult.

The mission can be finished without exploring the rest of the city with 12 minutes remaining.

I find the entire campaign difficult

It’s really tricky because there’s an initial phase where it’s important to get active quickly and leave no tiny hole unexplored (clearing the bandit camps and stopping their spawns) and then a phase where even slightly too much exploration leads to overwhelming doom (the south side of the city should be left unaggroed where possible)

I tried it by the sea route – absolute nightmare.

An endless spam of enemy ships was too much for my 35 Galleons.

The land route is far easier.

Kill the bandits, forget about the sea and boom into Elephant + Arbalester.

Those two units are enough if you micro the Arbs and attack move the Elephants.

It’s a good idea, when you enter the city, to conquer a couple of flags so that enemies don’t spawn from your back, and your forward Stables/Ranges can replenish the inevitable losses on your push.

Elephants tank a ton of damage, and you should prioritise killing Onagers who shred your Arbs.

I won it a the 4th-5th trial with barely a minute left, but I know my execution is far from perfect.

Anyone more skilled than me will carry this out much better
