If you’re in imp and you get surprised by halbs against your cavalry, you’d rather go GP or siege than wait 11 years and spend a fortune upgrading into champions which die to 2 archers and a 1 hp skirmisher.
Because, fully upgraded halbs still (probably) eat unupgraded champions.
While being cheaper.
Infantry just sucks ass…

Celts: 11 the civ has one good thing going for it and you want to take it away?
You are just nerfing them to the ground, nobody will pick this civ anymore on arabia.

Mongols: Fair enough.
Slavs: I’d make it even cheaper, really force this to be what Slavs do
Spanish: No, missionaries are great because they benefit from bloodlines.Tankier monks with your conqs, don’t need buffs.
Teutons: No, this tech is that strong.
Vietnamese: Makes sense to me.

Buildings from 3 to 4 (make them better at what they best do when they’re the weakest)

Perhaps a little extra speed (1.05) to tell them apart from Champs?

I think for infantry easiest change is just a quick reduction 20-30% in upgrade cost for the line, and time too.
Really it cant be justified the cost for so many upgrades for a line that doesnt get used.

Elite Jaguar warrior costing wood is a little weird.
I would probably just bring it down to around 800f, 450g.
