If I am hunting on elevated land, in a wooded area near a pond, or in an area where trees have been cut down, should I ask permission from any nearby houses before entering?
What is the accepted standard of conduct when it comes to hunting in these areas?
Always knock twice and only enter once his army is waiting at the opening to welcome you
Usually when then happens, I send the same amount of villagers to the enemy as a sacrifice to balance things out and not make it too unfair.
If I kill for example 4 villagers, I send 4 of mine.
If you don’t do that, I think the best way to balance things out is to give your opponent about three minutes headstart into every age.
Also, don’t use trebs against his castles.
Oh dear.
This is a game lol.
Do what you gotta do to win.
Just don’t cheat.
If you want to take the moral high ground go for it as long you have fun.
I play to win cuz winning is fun to me.
But I still have fun when I lose.
Which is a lot lol.
The only polite thing to do in this case is to use the hole he kindly left for you.
recently i learned it that after i scouted all my sheep and went to scout opps base on arabia, it is unethical to take their sheep. (it’s not like I rushed there in min 1)
Maybe I’d agree on laming the boar.
But when someone doesn’t take their sheep I assume they are pushing the deer so I wanna compensate by taking the herdables.
Well for someone I was a duck
It may not be polite…
however, if you look at your score overview, you will find there is no column for ‘Politeness’.
This is a war game.

The ethic of the raid is directly related to the civilization you are playing, e.g.
Vikings yes yes, Teutons No No
Exploiting your opponents mistakes is part of the game.
There is no disrespect in doing that.
Whatever wins you the game dude.
Sportsmanship is overrated.
Raid them to death.
Seriously.
It’s a mistake on their part.
Whenever you wall it’s easy to check whether you’re fully walled or not.
You can also easily identify areas that are likely to be overchopped before it happens.
This has nothing to do with ethics or sportsmanship.
This is just punishing a mistake, which is what the game is all about.
When playing me, it is impolite to attack in the first place.
The courteous thing would be to allow me to win.
