Placing farms is like 40% of the game.

You’ll see how auto farms placement works in real life.
It’s not as great as people assume.
It’s a double-edged sword.
Farms are often placed not where you would normally place them (e.g.
around a mill instead of a town centre), also AI may waste resources on farms that you would normally invest in something else.
I don’t think that controller players will have a huge advantage over PC mouse/kb players, even with the automation that the game provides.
Mabe, on low ELO, this will let controller players focus more on the army, so games will be more aggressive, but still micro is impossible on a controller.
I don’t mean Viper-like mico, even low-ELO micro, like managing 2 groups of units or redirecting villagers to the TC is gonna be hard.
Also panning the map or moving between buildings is way slower on the controller, so in overall I don’t think controller players will have a real advantage over kb/mouse users.
Anyway: cross-play is optional, if you don’t like it you can always turn it off and let other players enjoy the game their way.
Auto micro, auto macro, auto everything
Might as well auto build houses, auto lumbercamps, and auto villager production as well then.
