    Hello everyone, I’m new to this group.

    I’m having trouble with my game crashing for some unknown reason (possibly due to a lack of storage).

    I’m thinking about purchasing a new gaming laptop to make the experience better.

    Could you please suggest some good laptop options that would allow me to play the game?

    I’m grateful for any advice.

    Thank you in advance.

    It’s not a laptop, but you could consider Xbox Series S.

    The game has just been released on Xbox and it supports mouse & keyboard. $299 is a good price.

    Shop around and you can definitely find something under $700 to run Windows.

    Unless it crashes right from the start, you might be able to solve your problem without buying a new laptop… Could you share the specs of the one you have?

    The most important specs are the CPU, the RAM and the GPU (if you have one beside the CPU).

    Anyway, I’ve been playing with this:
    – Intel i5-6500 (a quad-core CPU from 2015);
    – 16 GiB of RAM;
    – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 mobile with 6 GiB of VRAM

    … and it’s more than enough.

    Anything better than that is overkill for AoE2 (unless you want to play in 4K), and something below that may still be enough, but I can’t tell for sure.

    Now… that alone might not be very helpful for you if you can’t tell if one laptop is better than another one.

    If that’s the case, I recommend you give a very rough idea of how much money you’d spend on that laptop, and if playing AoE 2 is going to be the only / main usage for it.

    Hey man, what’s your budget? (If dollars, which country?)

    You can get yourself a 2nd hand office pc with an 7th or 8th gen i7, upgrade the ram, a low profile gpu (1050 or radeon equivalent, dont get a 1030 or 1030ti) and get a 2nd hand office monitor for about $400 AUD, which is overkill, and also powerful enough for you to stream the game in 1080p
