Anonymous PlayerMemberI’m bewildered that I can’t comprehend this situation: all castles and town centers were destroyed, the villager count was more than 50 apart, my paladins were being decimated, and yet you still refused to give up. Additionally, he had steppe lancers encircling my paladins, so I had to create 20 light cavalry units to chase them down. This resulted in an extra 20 minutes of game time. It seems so straightforward – just resign and move to the next game.

Vengeance_3599GuestI’ve had a player make my cavalier chase after 2 light cav. I casually decided to tower and castle the entire map cuz I had the time.

ApyciaGuestYou’re taking this way to seriously – you’re complaining about playing more of a computer game you choose to play! just enjoy playing it – get into the roleplaying part of it. the late game clean up with your paladins should feel great – forget about your economy, just steamroll his buildings with half your army while the other half chases his troops around, while his army desperately tries to find an opening to do any kind if damage.
This is peak medieval warfare – and it reminds me soo much of the Lithuanian campaign.
alternatively – if your time is precious to you, just resign and take home the moral victory.
It’s a game. not your job.

ilpaesaggistaGuesti completely agree with you and i have the same feeling when someone doesn’t resign
honestly i just say gg wp and then once the game ends tell them that their not resigning is unsportsmanlike

Urc0mpGuestThe reason is usually salt. You win, but I get some level of control over it because now you have to find all my bills. Honestly it is so common to see, I can understand it. After a while it becomes easy to just resign and move on or play the little mini game.

medievalrevivalGuestAs someone who doesn’t have much time to play, this is probably my biggest pet peeve.
I don’t really care about toxicity or whatever else, but this actually kind of irritates me.

Business_March_7936GuestI’m doing exactly opposite.when somebody is meta tryharding (mangudai +SO tryharding, Turks on closed map, franks scout rushing).. I check their stats on AoE2.net before match starts and if they are smurfing I resign to inflate their ELO quickly so they go to higher ELO where they belong.
