It’s almost always not balanced at all.

The team game ELO means nothing at all, i’ve seen a lot of games where a 1000 Elo (solo rating) player plays against 1600+ (solo rating).

I swear i saw T90 playing against 900 in a game i played \^\^.

I have like 500 games and i start to want to quit aoe because i’m bored to play with players with a complete diffrent level that mine.

The difference is huge and this is not funny to play for every one in the game.

Before you tell me that i should play 1v1 if i want balance games, i think it is possible to improve matchmaking and let players from the same level “range” plays together.

And i want to play very fun teamgames with guys like me!

I would add something like “attributes” that we can fill ourself on our player profil.

And these attributes help the matchmaking in a second time to let players plays with the sames attributes

Dates could also come from something like a quizz where you answer questions about your play style, who determines the range of your (no)skills in the game.

For example, i would like to be considered by the MM as following: “intermediate” “plays feudal” “knows timings” “plays water” “early agresssion preference” “flank preference” …etc

It’s maybe stupid but a system like this could maybe replace the good old lobby title (ARABIA INTERRRR 1400++++)

I have exactly opposite experience.

Both my 1v1 and team ELO are always very well matched in ranked games.

And my win rate is around 50%.

Honestly, this works really well.

I’ve played a hundred or so 4v4 games around ~1.1k TG elo and I’ve never noticed a bad matchup.

Every time I look at the elos everyone is between 900-1300

Do you play solo queue or do you play with a team?

I have always played TGs with a group of friends and we have only occasionally felt the unfair matchup.

We also differ in elo ourselves from 800-1300 (1v1).

team game elo is not directly corelated to 1v1 elo, not on % or directly comparison.

This being said, the tg elo system suck but not at “It’s almost always not balanced at all” level .

There is lot of factors that people dont look bc they got mad for a reason or another.

To be careful, you can be match with a 1600 ELO 1v1 and 1000 TG if that guy is playing with a good friend of him having like 600/700 1v1 and 1000 TG as well.

Would make sense for them to be vs 1000s ELO players.

Now if from times to times he is playing on his own, then yes, having a 1600 solo and 3 other 1000 is a difficult match-up.

But on the other hand, if he does that and come back with his low elo friends, that means they will face a,stronger team etc, so maybe an easy win for the next opponent team.

You were just unlucky I guess.

From my experience, this happened very rarely (out side of surface account)

I find the games are slightly more unbalanced than 1v1 but not to the degree you’ve described

The thing is that bad players playing with their better friends will pull up the bad players elo and the good players elo down.

When they then play separately the elo will readjust
