both of us on steam
ty
Wow shots fired 30s not old ;_; .
But really lol it’s actually easier now.
All you gotta do is go to multiplayer and then invite your son or better have your son invite you since it seems you haven’t kept up on technology. (Just by the de version on steam)
Also the AI is actually decent now, so don’t be surprised if you lose to them.
The art of war tutorials are a great overview of how to play. (Mostly just do the eco ones)
Yes, this is simple.
Have your son get it set up for you.
up and running thanks guys!
No server creation needed..
Jump into to a multiplayer lobby together..
Set the other opponents how much ever you want as AI.
Play..
Watch son learn super fast and move onto multiplayer to challenge Hera and Viper in about 2 years.
Do you both have age of empires 2 Definitive edition on steam?
That is the easiest way to play online.
It has multiplayer ranked and unranked lobbies.
Message me on Reddit and I’ll show you how to over Discord
Definitive edition and HD are not the same FYI both on steam
Make sure you’re both on DE, highly recommend both getting discord too.
I’m your age now, used to play with my dad, and if I ever have kids I hope I’m lucky enough to get to share aoe2 with them.
If he’s better than you and you want improve quick, you’ll want to do the Art of War challenges, hit up the YouTube, and grab a few mods for playability and learning the right stuff.
I loved this game so much, have come back to it briefly a couple times, and fell in love with it all over again last year or so
