Since I’m short on time to play, I’ve adopted a strategy that if I don’t win quickly, I’ll lose quickly.
I’ve been trying to rush Hussite Wagon and it’s been quite successful.
At 1k ELO, most people don’t know how to counter it, and the wagons with a couple of knights are devastating.
If anyone has a unique strategy that isn’t related to the Mongols, I’d love to hear it!
I actually prefer the war wagon, though bohemians as a civilization are generally superior.
The handful of times I get war wagon rolling they seem so unstoppable.
When you can mass them with booking in castle age they seem so amazing vs knights skirm or anything while hussite wagons seem so annoying because they deal next to 0 damage
What doesn’t counter the Hussite wagon?
A couple of Mangonel Shots are enough to take down that whole hussite wagon army 11
My favorite (objectively bad / cheese) strategy rn is Chinese superior walls.
Basically try to get mid game priority (Chinese have a very strong mid game) and stone wall the enemy in, get fortified wall + great wall and plant chu ko nu + onagers and castles around the perimeter and siege their base down with trebs.
Admittedly it’s a win-more / toy with the enemy strat in most situations with little practical value.
The exception is against hyper scaling civs with bad economy, this is an excellent way to deal with goths for example because it cuts them off gold and is more than just a win-more strat in that situation.
