New university techs

They are always adding new civs and balance changes to keep things fresh.
But never do I see any change or addition to the university tech tree, where I think that there is a lot of potential to chance the meta and add a new layer to the game.
For example: tech that increases blast radius of siege, tech to increase LOS of units, ..
What do you think could be a nice addition to the university tech tree?
I am still working up to 1k, I am perfectly happy with not making anything other than balance changes and fixing pathing for another 6 months at least.
What I think would be cool is if there was a cob whose university researches affect whole team.
Trebuchets move 20% faster when packed.
We need a new building, Mercenary camp where you can recruit for only gold unique unit from the others civilisations in play.
And when allied, a small portion of the gold cost is given to the the original civilization of the units.
I always wanted to see this in some form:
It would be nice to have some tech for a civ that “steals” some unique tech or unit from the opponent civ.
That’s what Arrow Slits was!
I think selling DLC on the basis of two new university techs would be a challenge, and I think broadly the community is happy with the game, but the devs need to keep the money coming in, hence DLC with new civs
An upgrade to the outpost .
Maybe a costly upgrade that allows it to mark enemy military units on your map when seen by it or it plays a noise if a unit is seen in its line of sight
Palisade walls to have an reandforce option and for fishing boats or transport ships to be able to build the water versions and gates , even if the reandforce palisade wall was unique only to the goths who lack stone walls and gate
Another upgrade after you research that one to build the water towers in the water too
Maybe it could have a small universal training boost to all training buildings or it’s version could be for non military units
Upgrade for seige tower, which allows for arrow fire when garrisoned and upgraded stats like hp, speed, and unit capacity.
Maybe unlocking sea gates/walls?
It seems niche enough to not be particularly useful, but seems like it could add something in certain situations, and would be delightful to abuse in not-particularly-competitive games.
I guess a civ that can make a university in Feudal with a couple of tech avalible could be nice!
“Improved Harvesting Methods: wood, forage, and fish last longer, foragers work faster.” This is a tech I would like to see
I’m sure there are lots of very good reasons not to, but it’d be neat to have one that unlocks a fire tower.
