Honestly, having Flemish Revolution cost as it does now and adding extra cost for each vill converted would make the tech fine.
If it was something like 15F and 20G for each vill then Hera (183 vills) would have needed 3945F and 4330G.

The only way Flemish Revolution will get removed is something like this happening at the highest level.

The Burmese game was everything I dream to be able to do haha.
Gutted for lierey after he played so well but also very happy for Hera, who has put so much energy at refining his craft, calming his nerves in tense situation and diversifying his gameplay.
Honestly the best esport competition overall for a while personally.
Goes to show that tight and passionate community like this one are both rare and precious.

the nail on the coffin was dravidians which are so bad , when I saw that I knew he would take a miracle to win.
he almost made the miracle happen because he’s THAT good,with that epic burmese vs berbers match.
all that just to lose to the button.

Enclosed and Golden Lakes were incredible masterpieces from Liereyy.
Perhaps the most impressive games I’ve ever seen in AoE.
Fantastic from Hera to win against a Liereyy who performs like that.
The first time Hera was down in any series in NAC4 was game 5 of the finals.
He would then tie, and then later win the series.
Before that he had been tied with TaToH, ACCM, and Liereyy once each in the group stage, but never down in the series.
Damn if it really was op why didn’t he ban burgundians?

I genuine don’t think flemish revolution is that bad.
The meta always evolve: The burgundians are in the game for more than 2 years now and that’s the first time the technology was so successful in a big tournament.
And it’s certainly not unstoppable and it’s reasonable to assume that the pros will find ways to play against it.
We saw it get countered before and we will see it be countered again.

Also, Liereyy did it twice before so all is fair.
You also can’t say Hera didn’t make it interesting.
He had 9 TCs in preparation to use it.
Insane game.
GGWP to both players.
That being said, the tech just needs removing entirely.
Nobody likes it and it never seems fair when someone uses it which is a major issue.
