I am facing a problem during the beginning of a game where my villagers start behaving abnormally and I lose my power to operate any units, delete units, buy upgrades or perform any action.

It appears to be associated with automated economy.

Have you also experienced this problem and do you know any in-game solution to overcome it?

Could it be that it occurs when you have auto economy enabled and you order a villager to build some buildings in queue?
